EUREKA - A Special Edition of Diabetes Clinic with a holiday party celebration is open to the public on November 21, 2013 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Although it is the season for giving, foodborne illness is a gift no one wants. Many favorite holiday foods pose a “potential health risk” if not stored, prepared and handled properly. Come learn how to use safe cooking practices. PRIZES! GAMES! FOOD! Diabetes-friendly refreshments will be provided. Join us at the Woodford County Extension office at 109 E. Eureka. The clinic is free and open to the public and no registration necessary. For more information contact the Woodford County Extension office at 309-467-3789. Diabetic Clinics are the third Thursday of the month at 1:30 p.m. and the program is usually about an hour. Note: no clinics in July and December. Anyone who has diabetes, family members, friends, and/ or caregivers are welcome!
