METAMORA - Woodford County quilters aren’t going to be happy with the news that the Cozy Corner Quilt Shop will be closing in Metamora. Open since 1995, the shop has been a welcome island of quilter heaven, and it will be sorely missed.

Debi Henninger, owner of Cozy Corner, Cotton Stitches (in Pekin) and Prairie Points in Peoria has announced the closure of both the Metamora and Pekin stores. The inventory will be sold in a series of sales beginning October 24. The first sale will offer notions and patterns at 30% off, books at 50% off and Sale fabric at $5.00 per yard. The second sale will be from November 10 to 24 with steeper savings, followed by the next level from November 25 – December 15. The final sale will be from December 16 - December 31. There will also be special prices on all the machines and cabinets.
Henninger has expanded her Peoria store with a website and on-line store.
Cozy Corner is located at 101 W. Partridge in Metamora.
