EUREKA – The 3rd annual Cynthia Atterbury Piano Duet Recital will be at 4 p.m. Feb. 19 in McCallister Hall in the Chapel at Eureka College. It is free and open to the public. A reception will follow. Ten Eureka College students, alumni and faculty members will perform on a Vose and Sons 7-foot grand piano that was donated by Eureka College Trustee R. Rennie Atterbury III. The gift was made in memory of Atterbury’s wife, Cynthia Goldsmith Atterbury, who owned the piano. It was constructed in Boston in 1911. It has been rebuilt and is encased in the original fruitwood cabinetry.
