EUREKA – On Monday, February 13, 6:30 – 8 p.m. anyone interested is invited to come to the Eureka Public Library and participate in making cards that are offered free of charge to US troops serving overseas. The special occasion cards are distributed to servicemen and women serving in areas where it is difficult to purchase cards. The Library owns a Cricut cutter for making letters and shapes and the Cricut will be available for use during this time. In addition, a variety of techniques are taught and used during the work time. All supplies are furnished. Cost for the evening is $5, and the money collected is used for supplies and postage to mail the cards. The Soldier Card project is an ongoing project at the Eureka Public Library, meeting the second Monday of every month. For more information or to sign up for this evening, please call the library at 467-2922.
