½ C softened butter or margarine ¼ C strong coffee (I added some instant coffee)
1 egg 1-3/4 C flour, sifted ½ t baking soda ½ t salt 1-1/2 C crumbled bran flakes 1 C chocolate chips Heat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, combine sugar, butter, coffee and egg. Beat until light and fluffy. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt and bran flakes. Fold in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto a greased cookie sheet.
