My friend Nancy from Harristown says this dish is really good and really easy. The ingredients sure make it sound good. Perhaps you can substitute imitation sour cream for real sour cream? And how about seasoning the meat with chili powder and cumin, leaving out the salt? Those packaged taco seasoning mixes have too much salt in them for my taste.

1 lb. ground beef
Taco seasoning packet (Karen’s going to try 2 tsp chili powder, 2 tsp. cumin and a dash of salt)
1 tube refrigerated crescent rolls
1 cup sour cream
2 cups (or less) shredded cheese, nacho flavor
Doritos, crushed
Salsa

Preheat oven to 350.
Brown and drain the ground beef. Add taco seasoning and water according to packet directions. Press crescent rolls in to pie dish (I used a rectangular pan).
Layer seasoned beef, spread sour cream, shredded cheese, and salsa. Top with crushed Doritos.
Bake about 20-25 minutes.
Hint: Crush new Doritos for the topping if reheating. Chips become soggy in the fridge.
