Fyke I thought I knew what apple dumplings were, but these found in a 1911 cookbook are different. 1 pint apple sauce Fill muffin tins half full of apple sauce. Sift together the dry ingredients, work in butter, and add enough milk to make a soft batter. Hard Sauce: Beat all together till creamy, and pile on a glass plate.
