Aurora University students staged an early holiday party (above) for residents of Countryside Care Center in Aurora last week. Below... Naperville resident Terry Shapiro, an Aurora University psychology professor, lit a nine-candle Menorah in a pre-Hanukkah celebration last week. AU's Wackerlin Center for Faith and Action hosted the observance. Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights, commemorates the rededication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem in the second century B.C. Shapiro chronicled the Hanukkah tradition in words and song, accompanying himself on guitar.
