Kirsten Bohr Night.
That’s what the Aurora Central Catholic-Aurora Christian School boys’ basketball game at ACC informally became on Saturday, Feb. 4.

Since October, Kirsten, 6, a Plano resident, has been treated for embryonal rabdomyosarcoma, a cancerous eye-muscle tumor. She is a kindergartner at St. Mary’s School in Plano.
The game featured a “Kirsten’s Kickin’ Cancer” fundraiser. Plastic bracelets were available for $2 each. Sales raised about $300 to help support Kirsten and her family.
Joining Charger cheerleaders on the court for a halftime routine, Kirsten wore a mini-Charger cheerleading uniform and waved pomp pons before a huge crowd.
Kirsten's parents Andy (a 1995 ACC grad) and Andrea, plus siblings Brandon and Grant, joined fans in cheering for Kirsten.
She is undergoing proton therapy and chemotherapy at CDH Proton Center in Warrenville and the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago.
A statement released at the game said doctors are optimistic about her prognosis.
Aurora Christian edged Aurora Central Catholic 61-58 in overtime.
