EUREKA - The cold, foggy, humid weather banketing Woodford County last Saturday seemed a bit depressing to many, but not to everyone. Jane Burke (above) fortified herself with an armful of books from the Eureka Public Library.
Girl Scout Sofie Bressner made good use of the time by touring the town selling Girl Scout cookies to Minta Colburn (above) of Eureka. Sofie reported that she had accumulated orders for 109 boxes by Saturday evening.
Jennifer Blain (above) took advantage of the free WiFi system and caught up on her FaceBook and emails in the historic Annie Davidson dining room at the Eureka Library, where Colleen Toliver (below), a published author and Eureka College student, spent the afternoon helping Library patrons with their reading and research needs.
