EUREKA - The stock market has gone up and down, and up again. “With all the volatility we’ve experienced in the last couple of years,” says Kathy Sweedler, U of I Extension Educator, “2010 is a good time to take a fresh look at our investments.” To help you get started, University of Illinois Extension is presenting a lunch and learn seminar, “Diversify, Allocate, Rebalance: Investing in 2010” on Jan. 13 at 12:10 p.m. at the Woodford County Extension office, 117 W. Center, Eureka.
Kathy Sweedler and Karen Chan, Extension Educator and Certified Financial Planner will discuss how to position your investments for 2010 and beyond by using the sound strategies of diversification, asset allocation, and rebalancing. You will learn techniques for implementing these strategies, and an understanding of why human nature can make it difficult to take action with your investments. Investing in 2010 is the first in University of Illinois Extension’s “Live, Learn and Energize with Extension” teleconference series. Presentations start at 12:10 p.m., and will end in time to get you back to work by 1:00 p.m. Each month U of I Extension Educators will feature a different topic. For information about registration and fees, contact the Woodford County Extension office at 309-467-3789. |
