University of Illinois Extension is hosting the commercial Tree Fruit Growers School for area orchardists during February. The program is offered twice --- on February 2 at the Mt. Vernon Holiday Inn, 8:25 a.m. to 3:55 p.m., and again on February 3 at the First Presbyterian Church Hall in Hardin, 8:25 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. At both locations, registration starts at 8 a.m. The program focuses on the successful production of apples and peaches.
