Mackinaw River Overflows

CONGERVILLE - The continuing rains within the County, and often heavier rains upstream, have combined to send the Mackinaw River out of its banks, spilling onto the Lantz Dickenson farmland on US Route 150, east of Grimm Road, just west of Congerville. The partially submerged trees on the right normally stand atop the east bank of the river. The water in the foreground extends about 100 feet east and the water seen in the far center is spilling over the edge to flood the farm land seen in the rear and behind the treeline on the left.  --Staff photo
