We all pay a price to consume energy. That price is both economical and environmental. As energy costs continue to rise, we need to change the way we consume energy to combat rising costs and improve environmental quality for future generations. This program will focus on how local governments can conserve energy, decrease energy costs, and reduce the negative impacts on the environment.
On Thursday, October 22 the University of Illinois Woodford County Extension office will present a state wide teleconferencing program in which panelists will discuss the Illinois Public Accountability Project, the use by some communities of indicators and measures as proactive demonstration of progress in the work officials were elected to do, and actions performed by officials which could, in fact, be official misconduct. The program will run from 3:00 to 5:00 at the Woodford County Extension office, 117 W. Center, Eureka. The registration fee is $5. If you are interested in attending, please call 467-3789 to reserve a spot and to ensure that enough handout materials can be made available. |
