EUREKA - Do you have a new or old quilt or textile item that you made or was given to you that holds a special place in your heart? If so, please consider sharing your joy with others at the first annual Heart House Quilt and Textile Show on October 2 and 3.
To enter an item in the Show, pick up a registration form at Heart House, University of Illinois Extension, Eureka Public Library, or on-line at www.eurekapl.org . Mail or drop off the registration form to Heart House by September 18th. Quilt or textile item drop off is September 30 from 2:00 – 8:00 pm or October 1 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at the General Projects Building on the grounds of the Farm Bureau Park, 4-H Road, in Eureka.
The Show will be open to the public on October 2 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and October 3 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Farm Bureau Park. All items will be judged by the public and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons will be awarded at 3:00 pm on October 3. Public admission tickets are $5 if purchased early or $7 if purchased at the door. You can buy tickets at the University of Illinois Extension office, Heart House, or the Eureka Public Library starting September 10th. Each exhibitor will receive two free admission tickets.
Raffle tickets for a number of quilted and textile items will be available for sale at the Show. Raffle items will include handmade rugs, afghans, and table runners. Raffle tickets will cost $1 each and winning tickets will be drawn at 3:00 pm on October 3.
It is hoped that this show will become not only a successful fundraiser for Heartline and Heart House, but a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the creativity, talent, and treasures of Woodford County families
