EUREKA - The Eureka Business Association’s annual Fourth of July parade featured a Sesquicentennial theme this year. The rain-delayed  parade was completed on the bright, sunny Sunday afternoon. The crowds were enthusiastic and the participation also included representatives of Congerville, Secor, Goodfield, Roanoke and numerous business, civic and agricultural units. In keeping with the theme, two of the former Pumpkin Festival queens were honored by the Sesquicentennial float. Clarabelle Garber Springer, left center, and Maria Chianakis Thompson were winners of the 1949 and 1953 contests.
