Eureka Library Sponsoring Parent Care Workshop
Eureka – The Eureka Public Library announces the seventh in a series of free workshops for area seniors. The Parent Care Solution Workshop will be held Thursday, May 15, 2008, from 9-11 a.m. at the Library, 202 S. Main St., Eureka. Jon Knapp, CFP, will present the Parent Care Solution, a process to plan for the care of aging parents without destroying the family emotionally or financially. The Parent Care Solution is a set of six conversations to guarantee all important issues are covered. The program is not about buying long term insurance, annuities, or estate planning but instead is a process that emphasizes maximizing communication to best deal with the care of aging parents. Funding for this workshop was awarded by the Illinois State Library (ISL), a Division of the Office of the Secretary of State, using funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), under the federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA). To register for the Parent Care Solution for additional information on other programming, contact Karen Smith, 309-467-2922.
